GRE Exam Fees 2025
The GRE registration process is very precise and can be done in a matter of minutes. Applicants can either prefer to register at the test center or register online through the official ETS GRE website. Let’s understand the registration process for both online and offline modes, along with the payment modes available for each way of registering.
GRE Test Fees
The GRE fee is ₹22,000 for the General Test and ₹14,500 for the Subject Test. This price is inclusive of taxes and can be paid either online or offline. The GRE exam fee varies for other types of GRE tests as outlined below.

- Requests must be made at least 4 days before the test date.
- Candidates who cancel on time are eligible for a 50% refund of the test fee.
- Refunds are processed within approximately 10–15 business days and credited back to the original payment method.
- Submit your cancellation request via your ETS account or contact the test center.
- Candidates can reschedule their test up to 4 days before the scheduled test date.
- A rescheduling fee of ₹5,000 applies.
- Reschedule requests made within 4 days of the test date will result in loss of the test fee.
- Rescheduling can also be conducted online through the ETS website or by contacting the test center.
- Candidates can request a score review (Enquiry on Results) within 6 weeks of the test date.
- Submit the EOR request form online or at the test center.
- The fee for score review is ₹5,900.
- ETS will review your test and notify you of any changes to your scores.
- Additional score reports can be sent to institutions for a fee of ₹2,900 per report.
- Score reports are sent electronically and usually delivered within 10 days of the request.
