

IELTS Registration 2025
The IELTS registration process is very straightforward and can be done in a matter of minutes. Applicants can either choose to register at the test center or register online through the official website of IDP IELTS or British counsel. Let’s understand the registration process for both online and offline modes along with the payment modes available for each way of registering.

To register online:
- Visit the official website: ielts.org.
- Click on “Book a Test” on the homepage.
- Select your country and city.
- You will be redirected to the official IDP IELTS booking page.
- Choose your test type (Academic or General Training), test module, and city.
- Click on “Book Now”.
- Pick your preferred test date and time.
- Fill in your personal details and upload the required documents (usually passport).
- Review the information and complete the payment.

If you prefer to register in person:
- Visit your nearest authorized IELTS test center.
- Collect the application form and fill it out carefully.
- Attach a copy of your passport and required documents.
- Submit the form and make the payment at the test center.

You can also apply by post/courier via IDP:
- Download the form from the official IDP website or your local IDP office.
- Complete the form with accurate information and sign the Terms & Conditions.
- Please upload the documents, including a photocopy of your passport (bio page with any observation page).
- Fee payment via demand draft or bank payment (as mentioned in the form).
- Address your application to the IDP Head Office.
- You will get confirmation when your booking is confirmed, subject to slot availability.

Test Rescheduling and Cancellation
- Reschedule or cancel up to 15 days before your test.
- 34+ days in advance: no reason needed for rescheduling.
- 15–34 days: documentation required if you paid offline.
- Refunds are processed within 8–10 business days of approval.
IELTS Slot Booking 2025
IELTS paper-based tests are held 48 times a year, typically up to 4 times a month. Computer-delivered tests are more flexible, available 7 days a week with up to 3 sessions per day.
