

SAT Eligibility Overview
Who Can Take SAT 2025 ?
Students planning to study abroad need not worry about SAT eligibility criteria. Anyone from any country can take the SAT, regardless of educational background or age. However, it is recommended to attempt the SAT in class 11 or 12 so that scores are ready for college applications.

SAT Age Requirements
- Applicants of any age can attempt the SAT.
- Most test-takers are between 17 and 19 years old.
- Students under 13 can apply, but a parent or guardian must submit a consent form to create a College Board account.
- No upper age limit.
- Valid Photo ID : Passport, Aadhaar card, driver’s license, or school ID (school ID not accepted if 21 or older; use government-issued ID).
- Personal Information: Submit basic details when creating a College Board account.
- Consent Form: Required for students under 13, submitted by a parent or guardian.
- Payment Receipt: Proof of SAT fee payment to book a test slot.

- No Waiting Period: Retake the SAT as soon as you complete one.
- Score Choice:Send your best scores to universities.

Special Circumstances
Candidates with special needs can request accommodations by notifying the College Board’s Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) in advance. Most requests should be made at least 7 weeks before the test date.
Disability
Extra time or physical assistance; notify at least 7 weeks prior.
Illness
Special considerations for severe illness; notify early for rescheduling or medical accommodations.
Extreme Weather
Rescheduling or refunds if the test center is closed due to weather or natural disasters.
Feeding Infant
Breaks or private spaces for nursing mothers can be arranged in advance.
Visual Impairment
Braille, magnifiers, or large print with extra time.
