TOEFL Registration 2025
TOEFL registration is easy to use. There are several ways to register for the test: online through the ETS website, by phone, or by mail. Test takers now have the option to select from the TOEFL iBT (Internet-based test) and the TOEFL iBT Home Edition based on their preference for location and time. To register online:
- Visit the official website: ets.org/toefl.
- Sign in or create a new ETS account.
- Choose your test type: TOEFL iBT or TOEFL iBT Home Edition.
- Select your preferred test location or choose the Home Edition option.
- Pick a test date and time slot from the available options.
- Upload a valid, government-issued ID (usually a passport).
- Review your information and make the payment securely online.
- Once done, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your test details.
If you prefer to register via phone :
- Call the appropriate Regional Registration Center (RRC) at least 7 days before your test date.
- Provide your details and confirm your identity as per the guidelines.
- Choose your test date, time, and center.
- Make the payment using a credit/debit card.
- You will receive a confirmation via email.
To register by mail:
- Download and fill out the TOEFL Registration Form from the official ETS website.
- Enter accurate details and select your preferred test location and date.
- Include a photocopy of your identification document.
- Make the payment through an accepted method (see below).
- Send the form to the address mentioned on the form at least 4 weeks before your test date.
- You will receive confirmation once your registration is processed.

Test Rescheduling and Cancellation
- You can reschedule or cancel your test up to 4 full days before the test date.
- Rescheduling must be done through your ETS account or via phone.
- Refunds are available (50% of the test fee) if canceled within the allowed period.
- No refunds are given for missed tests or late cancellations.
